My journey as a student into business.
When people hear the word "entrepreneurship," they often think of big companies, boardrooms, and huge capital. But for me, entrepreneurship began right in my room with a dream, a few products, and a strong will to make something of myself.
How It All Started:
As a student juggling lectures, assignments, and departmental activities, starting a business wasn’t part of the plan initially. But I realized that if I wanted to build something for myself, I couldn’t wait till graduation. So, I started where I was with what I had.
My First Business: Perfumes
I started selling perfumes because I noticed that students love to smell good and look fresh. I sourced good quality fragrances and began marketing to my course mates and neighbors. The feeling of making my first sales gave me confidence it felt like the start of something real.
Birth of Yunis Delightful Bites
I’ve always loved baking and making snacks, so I decided to build a brand around it. That’s how Yunis Delightful Bites was born. My aim is to deliver tasty chinchin, cupcakes, and small chops that are not just affordable but beautifully packaged with care.
Challenges and Lessons:
It hasn’t been easy. Balancing school and business is tough especially when exams are near. But I’ve learned about pricing, packaging, and how to talk to customers. Every small mistake teaches me something new.
What Keeps Me Going:
My vision. I don’t just want to make money—I want to build a brand that lasts. One day, I want to look back and say: “This all started while I was still in school.”
Conclusion:
This blog is where I’ll share my journey—the wins, the struggles, and everything in between. If you’re thinking of starting something too, just start with what you have. Start scared. Start small. Just start. 💪💛
